I love this photograph taken by Stephanie Bailly during the first performance of my new music at the Australian Women’s Circus fundraiser back in August.
Since then I have added two new members to the band. A fantastic girl drummer who works on an electronic drum kit. And the wonderful guitarist from the Blow Waves and really loving the very organic rehearsals we are having in preparation for my new show!
The show ‘Diamond, Crimson, Blood’ is part electro pop and dark cabaret with it songs of betrayal, obsession, fame and the dark underbelly of life. will appeal to those chic types and others that secretly fantasize of a deadly lifestyle, lounging in cheap motels, torn lingerie and smeared lipstick.
Hopefully it will all add up to a magical night at the Wonderland Spiegeltent on Saturday, October 6 as part of the ‘Docklands Arts & Laughs Festival 2012′ and again on Friday for the opening of the inaugural ‘Ballarat Cabaret Festival’ at the Lydiard Wine Bar on Friday, October 12, 2012.
